Acquia is looking for a developer to join our Pre-sales Demo Team. This is an exciting job that mixes working with Acquia products, Drupal 8 and other emerging web technologies at the forefront of innovation and experimentation - projects such as Acquia Lightning, Material Admin or Demo Framework originated from our team. We often wear a number of hats and find themselves doing work on both the front and back end using a variety of frameworks, creating new exciting solutions supporting our Pre-sales team. Our ideal candidate has a passion for using and contributing to open source software.

Responsibilities

  • Work primarily on demonstration software to be used in Acquia's sales opportunities.
  • Build solutions both in Drupal and other technology stacks such as Node.js or Angular.js
  • Learn new technologies such as Ionic Framework, integration with Amazon Echo or Google Home
  • Support Acquia's Solutions Architecture team, enabling them to demo effectively.
  • Make Drupal contributions toward Demo Framework and Lightning distributions.
  • Daily interaction with the team over scrum and Slack/chat channels.

Qualifications

  • PHP, Javascript and HTML/CSS proficiency.
  • Familiarity with Drupal 8 CMS
  • Comfortable working with REST API's
  • Able to self-motivate and work effectively as a remote employee
  • Strong desire to learn new things and push yourself to the next level
  • Feel at home with command line utilities and bash scripting

Additional Advantages

  • Worked with Drupal distributions such as Lightning
  • Experience with Frontend frameworks such as React.js or Ember.js
  • Have used CI systems like Travis or Jenkins
  • Experience in debugging/profiling using XDebug and XHProf
  • Built software for IOT devices such as Amazon Alexa
